ABOUT ME
STRONG STORYTELLING - CINEMATIC - ACTION - COMEDY - EMOTIONAL BEATS
I've been an FEATURE FILM & TELEVISION EDITOR for over 25 years and absolutely love what I do! Based in beautiful Vancouver, British Columbia, I've been working remotely for studios in LA & Toronto over the last five years.
I've been fortunate to work on a diverse range of projects from theatrical Animated Feature Films & Series for AMAZON/NETFLIX/PARAMOUNT/MGM/TWC
to Unscripted Series for DISCOVERY/HISTORY/ABC,
as well as Scripted Live Action (MOW's) for LIFETIME/A&E.
A highlight of my career was traveling to Sochi, Russia for the 2014 OLYMPICS, and working with Olympic Broadcasting Services (OBS) as the Lead Editor on the "SUMMARY OF THE GAMES", which aired in over 180 countries.
As an Editor, for me... STORY WILL ALWAYS KING... but creating EMOTIONAL MOMENTS THAT RESONATE with an audience will always the runner up, and over the years, it has become my forte. Whether it's an dramatic ACTION scene, a hilarious COMEDIC beat, or a touching EMOTIONAL moment, this is where I truly shine as an Editor. I work tirelessly to make sure the viewer FEELS something.
In the past, I've been hired onto a number of high profile projects as a SUPERVISING EDITOR to create the cinematic STYLE, PACE, and TONE of a Film or Series, but also because of my skills at managing a team of Associate, Additional and Assistant Editors.
As the lead of an Editorial Team, our collaborative goal is always, first and foremost, to achieve the DIRECTOR'S VISION, while at the same time, to do so in an efficient & streamlined manner, even under impossible deadlines, in order to align with the PRODUCER and STUDIO'S production schedule.
That said, I also really enjoy stepping out of a managerial role and working as an ASSOCIATE EDITOR, where I can focus strictly on the creative of individual scenes while supporting another Supervising Editor, who is hard at work with the Directors/Producers to build out the overall "bigger picture."

In conclusion, I'll leave you with one of my favourite quotes about the importance of a really good editor:
“Drama is life with the dull bits cut out.”
- Alfred Hitchcock
